Lori spent her 20s and 30s working as a sea captain, teaching sailing, racing, and delivering sailboats. She was studying meteorology and engineering at Embry Riddle with a dream and ambition to work for NASA remotely in new technology development and apply her education to sail around the world in the Vendee globe sailboat race. When her mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, her life changed course, and she began studying Eastern medicine, searching for relief for her mother and best friend.
Her approach to medicine is prescriptive with the different modalities she has studied, and she is passionate about collaboration with practitioners of complementary disciplines. Lori also utilizes tools from massage therapy acupressure, Ayurveda, yoga, meditative practices, and technology for pain management and anxiety relief in dentistry.
She likes to think she became a ‘systems engineer’ for client wellness and is a perpetual student. *She is finishing her Ayurvedic practitioner clinicals and prerequisites for Acupuncture school. She enjoys trying to cook impossible recipes, hiking with her dog Maggie, and dreaming about one day living on a sailboat again.
